Ecm or chip

So my cel is flickering....I have a tt chip that's new never used....the ecm is a 87.....is it a bad chip or bad ecm? How do I tell which is bad?

Very doubtful is the chip,have someone who can lend you an ECM?

I've had this happen when the chip is a little loose in the socket. Try removing the chip, inspecting the pins, and re- seating it.

Already tried re seating it and prying out the prons on the ecm socket.....so I think you 1987gnastroroof sold me a bad ecm

If that's the case there's no problem I'll send you another 1 but I do test them in my car.

Tap on the ecm when it's running and see if the light comes on.

Would the power logger cause the problem if it's not seated right?

Make sure you put a note in there so I know what it is. Padded envelope or small box is fine, regular mail.
