worked like a charm...$50, made by Cloyes...no too bad of a deal in my book.


Now for the ground question. We found the ground off the front side of the block hanging (the one from the battery to the block)...evidently the guy that did the header install figured that wasn't necessary. LOL. Probably just missed it. I'm going to ground it to the top bolt instead with a new 4 ga wire. Any better grounding point in your opnion.
 
I think I paid about $30 for my GM timing set, the one with the steel sprocket, not nylon. And it was the type that is compatible with the stock tensioner. I believe the Edelbrock unit requires you to remove the tensioner, doesn't it? May be in the fine print in the instructions, but most of the roller chains will eat the tensioner, causing other problems.
 
I've purchased a few timing chain sets for a few different vehicles. Every "brand" I have gotten has had "Cloyes" stamped on it. :smile:
