Anybody know a site that shows how to do this? Saw an exit sign at hospital that was plexi with EXIT engraved in it and letters died red and it had a very cool glow to it.
I would like to try it and a site would help.
Thanks

this is actually simple...
needed:
plexi glass
neon tube (color is your choice)
neon tube housing (box or what ever)

The trick is the edges of the plexiglass have to be polished crystal clear. to do it, sand the edges smooth all the way to around 800 grit then "flame polish" it. Basically, you take a propane torch and run it quickly and repeatedly over the edges until they are completely clear. It takes a little practice...you got to be careful not to blister the plexi.

place your neon tube on one end (the more edges surrounded the more even and brighter the effect) and then cover the tube so it can't be seen.
