Craig:
The unit is still fine, after lots of mierably hot weather *testing*.

I was trying do something a little different and just want to make sure I had things right.

In going from 6cyl to DIS for a 6 cylinder.
I would need to do the following
reset the switches for 3 cyl, ie On-Off-On=On
and then use C8 for the 5-2 coil pack
D5 for the 4-1
and D7 for 6-3
True?.

Or did I miss something?.
Thanks again for a great unit.

So if I understand correctly, you want to put the waste spark coils back on the car?

I think that will be a problem. Your eDist (30-5001) is designed for the LS1 coils only. they lack the drivers to run anything else. :(

Am I correct about what you have?

Craig:

I'm working with Bruce to help him interface a J&S three channel unit with his eDIST and LS1 coils.

I read the eDIST pdf. See if I'm getting it right:

Here's the way I read your pdf sheet for an eight coil LS1:

LS1 firing order and eDIST connection for coil-on-plug is:

1 EST-B
8 EST-C
7 EST-D
2 EST-E
6 EST-F
5 EST-G
4 EST-H
3 EST-A

Applying the above to a Buick coil-on-plug set up, would the following be correct?

1 EST-B
6 EST-C
5 EST-D
4 EST-E
3 EST-F
2 EST-A

Then converting to waste spark with LS1 coils:

1-4 EST-B
6-3 EST-C
5-2 EST-A
