EGR and MAF question

Sorry to start another thread but no one seems to be replying to my thread anyways.......

Plug a OTC and check make everything is good, everything seem good but the the EGR read open and the MAF at idle reads around 6-7 with the A/C off. On the intercooled cars 6-7 is showing signs of a bad MAF is this the same on the Hot Airs cars?

Normal MAF readings at idle are 4-7. This goes for non-intercooled or intercooled. The 84-85s and 86-87s arent as different as you might think, they have alot of basics in common.

As far as the EGR, it is not meant to always function. I believe it kicks in at light throttle and cruise, not WOT and idle.
