I know this may be really simple but how do you delete the EGR ? We have put a BB in one of the lines that come out of the round thing on the drivers side plenum but it keeps popping off and really don't why . Thanks in advance for helping a newby , Keith

I went through that procedure this summer and documented it in my resto thread:

I upgraded to a chip that ignores EGR function anyway so there was no point in keeping it. After you remove the EGR parts, you install the block-off plate. I used RTV sealant and followed the directions exactly, and have no leaking. Some people have said they had leaks but I can't comment on their installs, only what I did. It's actually a pretty easy removal and really tidies up the clutter on the driver's side of the intake.
