egr purge solenoid?

my 82 turbo regal just recently got a rebuild upon reasembling my mechanic said that my car is missing the egr purge solenoid. gm no longer makes the part and i cant find one. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it the red or white solenoid?

not sure if its red or white? all i know is there is 2 clips that hook into it and some vacuum lines.

How about top or bottom?

I have one of the two solenoids. It's the top, white one. Not sure if this is the one you need or not. (I haven't checked it to confirm it's working yet)
