what should my 87 be running at at 2500 rpms mine hits 950 to a 1000 what could help just learning this engine just bought a 240z gn swap.

Depends on the load, fuel and timing at that rpm.
Appears to be in range at that rpm, low load, on 93.
Put it this way; I see around 780F at idle on 93.

What are the scan tool readings?
