Electric fan turns on with car off

Need help guys the fan turns on with car off no key and motor cold try to start car and about a minute later with car off fan turns on for about two minutes and then shuts off thanks

what do you have,stock everything? if its a thermo switch/prob could be getting power throught 12V. give us more info,

I believe this is the infamous fan delay relay kicking in and causing the fan to run. You can disconnect and it will not hurt anything and will stop the reoccurance of the fan running after the car is turned off. It is the large relay on the drivers side.

i just bought the car having a hard time getting it to start but everything looks stock i will look for the relay on the driver side its a 87gn thanks guys

Agreed, just unhook the large relay & tape up the end so it stays clean.

My car could sit unused for days, and Id hear the fan start runnig out of the blue. But then some other impossible things were occuring in my house that same era.
