Electrical water temp and oil pressure gauge question

I am looking at the VDO Vision series that come with no sending units vs. Autometer Z-Series that cost more but state they come with sending units. My question is will I need the new sending units or are they not needed for the install if I should choose the VDO's?

Look at the Speedhut line, b4 you make a choice. we've been seeing some really poor quality in the Autometers we use in custom ga panels.
Doubt the VDO will read an old OEm sender. Might message them, and ask.
