Eliminating Oil Cooler? Yes/No?

I have heard of people eliminating or by-passing the oil cooler by using a single line from one side of the adapter to the other side,
(looping) is this a No No?

If you want to "NOT" use the oil cooler , then simply remove the adapter. There is no need to have it there if you not going to use it, for what ever your reason.
Just my 2 cents.
