Question for hose running this set up.
Since removing the factory dash & installing the AVC dash , the small dash bulb that the factory used to excite the alternator is no longer.
Are you having issues with the alternator not charging & resulting in low battery voltage or does the AVC wiring harness accomodate this by using a resistor in line somewhere?
Just curious .

Thanks
Dave

Not sure on the dash but the casper field fix setup is just as easy and will fix it.

there is a volt lamp on the avc dash so it does charge
, just no parallel resistor (470ohm) to back up the bulb like buick used on the back of the bulb socket in the late 87 dash

Thanks , I Am running Red Armstrong’s Volt Booster and wasn’t 100% sure Caspers’ Field Fix harness could be used with this since it connects differently than Caspers’ TPS triggered volt booster? 🤷‍♂️

Yes, my volt light on the AVC dash does come on (Key On / Engine Off) & this light does go out when the engine has started.
So this should indicate the alternator is charging
