Engine compartment light

Can ayone tell me where your engine compartment light hooks into on a HA?
Pic would be GREAT! Black/yellow stripe wire on an IC'd car. :wink:

Not sure exactly what you mean, but my hood light on my 84 gn is still functinal. I would be more than happy to take a pic for you. Are you needing to know where exactly the wire is coming from in the engine compartment? I'm not at home right now, but will be in a couple hours, I can try to trace it down then.

Yes, my light was never connected, so, I am trying to find out "which and where" the connector/wire is.

I see. I have the 87 TR Service Manual on the hard drive of the laptop I'm using right now. But I guess that doesn't do us much good being there where some color code wiring differances between the years. If nobody else helps you out before I get home, I'll get to work on it for you. I'm at a coffee shop right now with my girlfriend, she's sitting across the table from me doing homework, and behind her is a very very very cute girl with very short shorts on and is apperantly not wearing underwear. So I'm not leaveing this chair until she leaves, or my girlfriend catches me checking her out.

beat me to it! mine is a black wire with a orange stripe that goes into the main fuseblock through the firewall on drivers side. Of those 4 square blocks it goes into the lower L/H side.

If the wire weren't cut the one half of the connector should be by your hydrobooster. It should be a single black wire with a rectangular black plug. I keep mine unplugged due to the car shows I attend.
