I picked up my very clean 87 Park Avenue about 2 years ago with a bad motor (vin 3 junk). I rebuilt the motor about 3 months ago and about 3 weeks later, the trans went. Im done dealing with this drivetrain. Ive been reading about the SC engine swap so last weekend I picked up a wrecked 94 Park Ave Ultra with a series 1 SC 3800 with about 97k on it. Im capable of doing the vast majority of the work, but I was wondering if the engine cradle will bolt up directly, or should I use the existing 87 cradle and just modify the mounts? There arent very many sites or write ups for this particular swap.
I plan on making this car a DD, so most of the creature comforts of the 94 will make it into the 87 (climate control, gauges, A/C, etc). If anyone has any suggestions or links to site where this has been done, it would be greatly appreciated.
