engine cuts out

can anyone advise what can cause this intermittent condition.>>> when the car is cold and i go to accelerate, the engine make a slight pop sound and will stall (feels more like a loss of spark) > The car will restart with no problem but i want to correct before it happens on a highway. No trouble codes and the car runs strong otherwise......Thanks

Sounds like air/fuel delivery problem. More on the Air side. Sounds like a lean out,to much air for not enough fuel. Could have inlet air leak some where , when the car heats up,it expands an seals itself maybe.

Check all the hose connections on your mass air pipe after the MAF sensor and up to the turbo. I had one work loose on me last summer and the same thing happened. I pulled over and popped the hood feeling around under the pipes and sure enough there was a gap in one. Ran like a champ after! Good Luck!
