engine parts

i am looking to get into a grand national that needs an engine. i have been reading a little bit on here in the last couple of days and learing a little bit. what block should i look for. any stroker kits out for these cars. in a differant post they mention a 109 block and a stage block. what are those. it will not be a daily driver but it will be driven on the street quite a bit. looking to get into the 10's or even 9's. thanks dave

Anyone in north east with a short block that they want to sell???i
live in Weschester NY.30 minutes from New york. If that helps.
Would prefer a motor that was not too radical. more srteet. ocassinal track.
