engine rpm up and down

rpm's are going very high upon starting then down to almost cutting off then way up again.... car runs fine at highway speeds. thanks for any help



side note: for people that know me.... this is not my car.... no scan tool, bone stock 87.

yes, I figured that was it also... found none, all hoses where replaced last year... I did double check them. any other ideas?

you can spray some start fluid at idle around all of your connections. I had to do that to trace mine done. The vacuum block is a culprit. How old is your chip? If it is over 6ish years old then it could be that.

I was thought about the chip.... its original..... I have a TT stock chip I'll put in it.....
