I have an 87 GN fitted with VDO gauges. The speedometer sensor went bad and I have replaced it with a VDO hall effect sensor that fits straight on to the gearbox, and after some fiddling about I have got the speedometer working OK.
I now have error code 24 (vehicle speed sensor) coming up, and have also found my cruise control not to be working but the car seems to be running OK. Have I totally cocked up using this sensor?, and how do I sort it out?
