I JUST did that exact same thing, my needle gauge read 1/4 tank and it cut out and died, I left it at work in the parking lot for 3 days while i ordered a fuel filter and new fuel pump, knocked on the tank by accident while i was under there and knew something was up. I told all the guys i work with that i screwed up the wiring during a stereo install....i'll get around to telling them some day.

I have never known a car like the GN that will spudder along for 5+ miles after an initial sucking dry. Good thing too!

I've only ran out of gas once in the Nash. I had just fired the motor up from my the rebuild, broke it in and took it to filler up and she ran out. Didnt sweat it though I was so stoked that I had got it running, my face looked like
