exhaust leak

i have a exhaust leak and i wanted to know if that would make my car idell rough or not.

Yes it can, if it's upsteam of the oxygen sensor. The ECM won't control A/F right if the oxygen sensor is reading O2 from the leak.

ok im not sure if it is leaking above the o2 sensor because it is leakin from the cat bad. but im going to get new exhaust mabey then i can see if it is leakin from any where else. i know this i is kinda a stupid q but i dont knoe much about these cars :biggrin:

Consider switching over to the 86/87 style converter. It uses a wide mouth, and allows you to run 86/87 exhaust systems like the well regarded Hooker. You need to modfiy the hanger, but it's not to hard.

i have a dyno-max super converter, and some mufflers. i just need to take it down to the exhaust shop and have it all put togather. btw is that a allright converter? i have dyno-max race bullets(cheap), are they allright?

I don't know much which brands are good or not. I would have them put flanges on the convertor like stock (vs welding) so the convertor can easily be unhooked or removed - for off-road reasons of course.
