Exhaust question...

I'm wondering, what options are there available to me, to connect these two together.

I'm looking to install a cutout, to a 2.5" dual system. These two here. Ebay item number 170351184404, and the sgg-50 pypes exhaust system from jegs/summit. The system has the typical cat back connector flange welded to it, and I'm guessing the hole is 2.5 inches in diameter, while the cutout has no flange, and is 3 inches in diameter. Here are my questions; If I get a flange welded onto the cutout, how will that quarter inch shelf, that's formed by connecting a 3" piece to a 2.5" piece, affect my flow/turbulence? And secondly,
if I yank the flange off of the exhaust system, are there any reducers available to bridge that gap?

The cutouts are usually on the test pipe (y-pipe) that fits between the downpipe and the exhaust flange. The electric cutout valve bolts onto the Y. If you have the run a cat it replaces the test pipe. Check out my post http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/parts-sale/300283-f-s-ta-performance-headers.html and look at the downpipe/test pipe.

guys, I know where and what cutouts, flanges, and dumps are. I know where they go, and how they work. the issue is this. one's 2.5 inches, and the other is 3. How do I join two tubes of different diameters....

Get a 2.5x 3 reducer
