I think I got everything under control in my car now. So I am going to save up for a new exhaust system. Any recommendations? Are there any systems that will bolt on without fabrication?

I spoke to a shop that said that if I get a bolt on, they will only charge me labor rates for 1-2 hours.

The Hooker system seems to be well liked by the 84/87 TR guys. This is a dual muffler design. The only problem would be the converter connection. The 85/87 TR uses a wide mouth converter. Either adapt this or see if they have an intermediate Y-pipe that fits your converter.

My '83 TR already had a Walker (sold at NAPA) dual muffler system on it. It uses the smaller converter fitting.
