you have 6 bolts that go into the water jacket.
This is were the pissing match begins.
I use Permatex-2 on all the bolt threads.
Pull the bolt out find someone willing to hold there finger over the hole apply #2 to the bolt and reinstall.
I would do all 6 bolts if you did not use a sealant on any of the bolts.

Good morning THensley! Thanks for the advice.I did apply sealant but it was teflon paste. It’s only that one bolt.I ordered the #2 and will be using that.

I do like the teflon past from LOCTITE But bolt and threads need to be clean. Most sealers need clean threads but the #2 seems to work best for me.
Don't be stingy you will have plenty and if the other 5 aren't leaking chance it that's good stuff too.

I've used this on head bolts/studs and water pump bolt that go into the water jacket pretty much the whole time I've worked on Buick engines(mid eighties). It is non hardening so retorquing heads is no prob. Never let me down. Though I know others have success with plenty of other things.

If you're only doing the water pump, the 4 long bolts are the only one's that get wet. And I'm sure you noticed there's 3 long bolts, and one long long bolt. If you're reusing the factory fasteners, there's a good chance getting them sealed up is going to take a little extra since they've eroded away some.

I use Yamabond4 on those threads when I put the front of engines together. It's a little thicker than normal for non-hardening goo, and it puts up with all the automotive stuff like water, oil, pressure, threads, etc... That's good in your case since you're going to try and seal wet threads when you pull the bolts out.

And every car I own has a GM seal tap floating in the cooling system. Zero leaks, ever.

UPDATE!
Well it wasn’t the water pump bolt after all.
I ended up pressurizing the system and found the leak to be coming from the clamp at the S hose that goes to the water pump. What it was is that this clamp was for silicone hoses and had that metal liner/shield inside the clamp and it was all bent up so the clamp wasn’t clamping down properly. Thanks everyone for their help!
