I know its kinda old school compared to whats out there but I just had the dbb 70mm ITS turbo rebuilt for our T and we installed an X trim exhaust. It has a .85 PTE housing. It used to have a Q trim. What kinda times on iron heads have people run on a similar setup? Im hoping to see the track on the 8th with the new NL converter and the dbb70X trim? Thanks guys.

I had an its 70 x trim with a precision .85 housing for awhile. Ran in the 9.7s with a stock stroke 109 and gn1s. Needed around 30 psi to run this number. It was a greaat turbo until it chucked an exhaust wheel. Since its was no longer around, it was going to cost new turbo money to get fixed so I bought a new turbo.

Mine was a journal bearing though.

Hopefully this exhaust wheel doesn't come apart. So I guess I can expect bottom 10s out of a well sorted out iron headed combo. I guess we will see. It ran 101 in the 1/8th on 24 psi on the old converter that had it pushing 5900 through the 1/8 mile traps. I am looking foward to seeing how it does with my new n/l converter.

Who currently rebuilds ITS DBB 70 turbos, mines a P-trim.

It only has 40K on it but I want to be ready if it needs it someday.

I think I asked him when he first started up, and he said he was only dealing with Garrett turbos.

I'll shoot him an email.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah you should be able to get your goal easily. I would run my its turbo with about 23 psi and run low 10s all day long. It would do 6.5s in the 1/8th at that level.
215/220 hydro cam (I think the cam was mismatched for combo)
Gn1s that flow 260/245
Non stroker
11.0:1 a/f
21 degrees of timing
Shifted at 6k
Ran 110 octane turbo blue

I think those are most of the main details. Hope that helps.

I just got an email back from Rick and he says he can service them.
