External wastegate adjustment

Any advice would be appreciated.

I purchased an ATR 3" DP with a deltagate on Ebay with an air regulator. I installed it and it is set at 20psi. Everything works great, what I am wondering is which one do I adjust to raise the boost...the air regulator or the deltagate.
I figured if I turned the allen screw in on the deltagate I would increase pressure on the spring thereby raising the boost. Is this correct? What effect does the air regulator have on the system?

I have not made any adjusts as of yet for fear of putting too much boost in the motor, I dont know how sensitive the adjustments are.

Are you talking about a boost adjuster device, which is control in the cockpit?

I us to use a boost controler. i don`t like it. i make all my adjustment at the deltagate, with the allen screw and lock it with the nut. also make sure your deltagate see boost directly for the turbo compressor housing.
