Whats the benefit between the 2 other than a seperate downpipe needed? Thank's.

External gates provide a stable amount of boost. Internal gates can sometimes allow boost creep, external gates pretty much eliminate that.

You also can lower your boost farther down than you can with an actuator depending on how your external gate is setup. Thats beneficial for traction if you're using an electronic boost controller that lets you control ramp speeds.

The last downpipe we did for a guy in the shop, with a TurboSmart 50 gate we could lower the boost down to 5 PSI with an ISAC.

Dave, whats your combo right now? If you have a 3" internal gate you might be good to go. What size is your turbo?

Not having issues, just looking at whats best for the car. If I'm good with what I've got then that'll be fine. Just making sure the cars got what it needs. I'd rather do it now than later.
