i was wondering what removing or bypassing the resistor on the fan does i heard people were doing it i want to keep my fan on all the time is that what it does

There are 2 different feeds (with 2 different relays) that power the fan.

The first one is for low speed "normal" operation.
The second is for high speed - when AC is on or overheat (don't remember the temp that triggers it).

The way "low" works - runs the power thru the resistor to make the fin run slower. Bypassing or removing the resistor will make it run high whenever the chip/ECM calls for low speed....but other than extra wear on the fan motor it should not harm anything.

Jump it out and there is no downsides and it removes some load off the electrical system to boot.

Best and easiets is to unscrew the wire form one end of the resistor and double up the wires under the other end of the resistor.
No wires are cut, resistor stays in place and your on high all the time.

Another trick is teo get some cowl weather stripping form a gbody and put it around the factory fan to help it seal to teh radiator core better.

Good luck
