Hello,

Long time listener first time caller....

I have a dual fan set up (unsure of brand as im not with the vehicle right now) that will not turn on. My understanding from reading posts here is that there is no fuse for this as it uses a fusible link located on or near the starter. Would it be reasonable to assume that that is the issue because both fans do not work? I would think if it were a relay or motor the other fan would work. I appreciate any response as I am competent and doing some maintenance but electrical is above my paygrade.

Thanks,
Adam

P.s. Haven't been here in a minute and like the new design.

Not much help until you post up how the fans are wired.
Ok. I can take some pictures at some point. Like I stated above though electrical work is not my strong suite. But ill do the best I can. Is there a cell phone app for this forum now? I searched and didn't see but wanted to ask.

Thanks,
Adam

The fusible links for the factory fans can be tested at the low and high speed relays on the drivers fenderwell area, fat red wires on those relays should have power +12 on them at all times direct from the fusible links.
Aftermarket fans that need more power are usually wired to the battery with fuses or a fusible link of some sort.
You need to know what you have installed first.

Ok, thanks for the response. I will check it out. The car fans are most certainly not oem. its a dual fan setup. I appreciate your detailed response. I also bought the relay test switches (on amazon) so thanks to you i now have a place to start looking.

Here's the wiring for the stock stuff.
