FAST/false knock

will the older b-b FAST pick up false knock?

The FAST knock input comes from an external knock processor module (the ESC module on our Buicks). That module (tries to) decide if knock is occurring and signals the ECU. The FAST only responds to what the ESC module feeds it.

so, will it pick up false knock? Or if I am getting knock #s do I assume it is real?
