Time Based or MPH Based False Knock Ignore Strategy

Some chips have a time-based false knock ignore feature that ignores knock for a predetermined amount of time. On other chips, like TurboTweak, it is based on MPH, and some may have the option of using either method. In what false knock situation would one method be preferred over the other, if any? I did a search and came up with nothing.

Probably MPH…. High vehicle speed usually indicates higher load and ignoring the knock sensor in high load situation would be unadvisable.
