Usually,depends on how old,Most unit have points outputs in them already.
If you sue the dist adapotr Cal sell its not problem,if its bank to bank you dont have to plug the dist in.

Once again, Otto is correct. The first couple of years the Classic boxes were made they didn't enable the Points output. If you have a very old box (probably has FelPro label) then you will need to open the box and I can tell you what to do to enable the Points output.
