When I got my new rims I put 15x4s on the front with 195/60/15 tires. The back got 15x8s and 135/60/15s. They look too skinny. I only got that size because the guy said a 195/60 or 175/50 wouldn't fit. I also didn't want the "stinkbug stance" so he said these sizes would both be @26" tall. I still want a 26" tall tire but want it to look alot fatter, but without rubbing anything. what would be a good size to run?

I think you meant 235, 295 and 275 on the rear. 235/60s are about 26" tall, depending upon manufacturer, but they aren't particularly wide.

Ideally, you'd like a tire that's 8" wide (to match your wheels) and 26" tall (stock diameter). I'll post a link to BFG...

If you have 4.25" - 3.5" backspacing on the wheels, 275/50 will fit fine.

If you have 4.5" backspacing on the back, you may need a small spacer to keep them off the frame.

ungn is correct. I have 275 50's on the back of mine with no rubbing.

yep, and I have a set of 275/50/15 BFGDRs and they rub just slightly on one side, an 1/8" spacer cured the problem on stock GN rims.
They look real good too.

I'm sure these tires are fatter but are they the same height? I'm looking for the same 26" height as the front but alot fatter looking than the skinny 235/60s out back. I believe the guy said 295/60s are 28" tall but it's been a while so I may be incorrect.

P275-60-15's...

I have some P275-60-15's on 8in. wide GN rims that just look great! They are a little taller than the stock tires and fill the rear wheel opening very nicely. The wheels ( which I had made) have a 3 1/2'' rear spacing which is just right to center the tire/wheel combo in the middle of the wheel well, without having to use any spacer and with no tire rubbing at all. When you look at the car from the rear, the wider tires give the car a very mean, ''muscular', look!! I know it's a matter of personal taste, but I think it gives the car a very nice look from just about any angle!...
For those of you who want to see how it looks, just let me know, as I have some pictures available...'bye!

Claude :)

Tire Height Formula & 275/50/15

Here is a tire size formula that I have used in the past to figure out tire height. Don't ask me how it works...I just know it does.

Formula for 275/50/15:

275 divided by 25.4 X 50 X 2 plus 15 = 25.83 inches tall.

HERE IS THE MATH: (Hope it's right!!)

275 divided by 25.4 = 10.826. (Use 25.4 for all sizes)
10.826 times 50% = 5.41. (Times by 50% for all sizes)
5.41 x 2 = 10.82. (Always times by 2)
10.82 plus 15 (for 15 inch tires) = 25.82

I used 275/50/15 on my T-Type rims without any backspacing and had no problems. The tires are really squished in on the 7 inch rims. I now use 255/60/15 on the stock T-Type Rims, and they work great. They are 27 inches tall and they really fill up the wheel well and look a lot better. No rubbing.
