Faulty Eprom ?

Noticed the car started to Idle real rough, so I thought I'd do some tuning on it, So started with plugs, wires, and went on to the iac (adjusting and cleaning) and tps adjustments. after I did that, I'd thought I would try a different street chip, got a faolty eprom code. So I took that one out and put in the one I had before same Eprom code. So could one chip be bad and I put the first one back in and it went bad all of a sudden. What could have happened? Did you make sure the chip was facing the right direction? Pushed in all the way? No bent pins on the chips?

Yep, sure did. Inspected both chips visually. Anyother thoughts Thanks Carlos

Chip #2 may have already been zapped when you put it in. You may have zapped chip #1 when you took it out to put in chip #2.

You may want to remove the chip, unplug the orange ECM wire to reset the ECM and then try the "previously known good" chip. If the problem still exits, I can potentially fix them both for you. Shoot a Private Message to me if you are interested.
