fill plug in rear diff?

Does anyone know what size the gearoil fill plug in the rear diff is? i am having posi installed on thursday and i already know that the plug is going to get f'ed up when we remove it. so i want to have another one on hand. Thanks in advance

why would the plug get screwed up? i've broken ratchets and extensions trying to get them out, but i've never screwed up a plug.
but i THINKit is a 1/2" NPT pipe plug.

it could get screwed up. its rusted in there quite well. my buddy wants me to get one just in case it does get screwed up and the part stores are closed. can anyone else conferm that it is a 1/2" NPT pipe plug before i go out and buy one? Thanks for the help.

I think for a whole 3 dollars total you could get 1 of every size.Throw the others that are left in your drawer for the next project someday.Thats what I do anyway.
