James Ibusuki only made 547 of these timeless GNX lithographs.

This signed and numbered print is #497, and comes in a black frame and with Ibusuki’s signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Can someone explain to me what the importance was of the lithograph ? I seen them go on sale from time to time and was wondering how they came about

James Ibusuki is a talented automotive artist who's done some amazing pieces over the years. "Sunday Funnies," "Jungle Boogie " "Snake vs Mongoose" etc, in addition to the GNX print.
Check out some of his work on ebay and elsewhere, really cool drag racing art.

I don't know exactly how he decided to make them, but around 1997 he released 547 prints of "Ten Years After," one for every GNX made. He also made I believe 55 artist proofs.

but appear to be exactly the same
just labeled "A/P-37" "37 of 55"
and certificate of authenticity.
