finally, 15 psi. now how to hold it:)

i finally got 15 psi to hold for more than a 1/2 second and do it consistently. what i did was i decided to go back to the stock setup, which originally gave me 10 psi. i took off my manual boost controller and used electric appliance cleaner to thoroughly clean out the WG solemoid and the red connector that goes into it. i tried that and the car will boost to 15 psi, hold it for a few secs. then go to like 12 or 13 and climb up to settle to about 13 or 14 psi. i heard that the computer cuts back a couple lbs. of boost in 2nd and 3rd gears as part of the factory program. is this true? also the bottom of my solenoid has a crack in it. could boost be leeking out from there? i dont really want it to fluctuate any at all.

If boost is leaking from the solenoid, the boost would go higher and not lower. The boost fluctuation could be your chip. Try a different one and see how the boost responds.
