I know the picture sux (cell phone) but you can see the crack. 2 years back when I took it apart to clean it I must have tightened it too much and it took this long for the it to finally crack or get big....i know brass and bronze are soft and cant be gorilla'd tight. This is a Alky control kit

Replaced my Fuel pump and fuel filter and still couldnt get the WOT fuel psi to where it should be.

Coincidentally I had to replace my TC cause my Pats started rattling and slapped in a new PTC and had moved my lil rag I keep under the hood for wiping the dipstick and had it wedged by the battery above the meth filter . Made a lil part throttle hit in the car, then parked and was checking the car over and was actually on the phone with Julio picking his brain during this when I discovered the rag soaked in meth:eek::mad:. Then I saw the meth filter end cap cracked and the lightbulb went off.

Since it was connected to the up pipe it was causing a boost leak, vac leak and alky leak.
I tell yeah if I wouldnt have put that rag there I would have been pulling my hair out for a bit longer.

With the crack fixed the fuel psi goes up as it should. Im sure i would have caught it once I pulled the rocker shafts and psi'd the intake tract.

I see now why sometimes I would get a lil transitional KR when the boost would come in since the alky feed line would be empty from the crack to the nozzle and when the pump would have to refill from that point forward and spray out the crack.
Figured i would share

Well after talking with you today the fuel psi is screwed again and the alky nozzle is capped off/system off. Time to pull the rockers and psi the intake tract and see whats leaking.

Ill have to try and get that gauge tester thingy.

ive got a filter thats split just like yours ... at both ends :frown:

never had a wrench on it , maybe i should try spraying less than 250 psi

Update on teh Fuel psi issue at WOT. Its good now...SO FAR....LOL

And actually had to pull 15.5% of fuel through my high load map to lean the car out to target.

I took off the brand new Cyberdyne sending unit and gauge and put on a mech with a hose and the fuel psi is where it should be at WOT.

The Cyberdyne tracks real slow and is 11 psi low at WOT??? They will be getting a call tommorow.:confused::mad:

Had that same fitting on my Alky system crack just like the picture, Glad you found it without hurting any thing
