Finally made it to the track what do ya think of this??

First time to the track since ive owned my GN. Pulled a 13.02@106 is this good??

But lemme start by saying i dont know how to launch
I was running regular radials with 32#s of air in them
I launched with 0 boost due to the fact my tires just kept spinning
20# of boost with creeping to 22# three quarters down the track
No Knock

100 octane

And dammit its harder than i thought to get this down just right when launching.

But the fun started when i was driving home. I came across a 03 Cobra. To make a long story short we spoke for about 15 minutes and he told me he had a pulley and cold air kit, and had it dynoed at 450rwhp and 450ft torque. Then we raced.....three times i screwed one of them up on the launch, well actually he pulled kinda fast before i was ready. The other two were fair and square.

Both runs i got him out of the hole (while spinning) until i grabbed in the top of second gear. I got him all the way to the next light, not sure how far the first time and he couldnt catch me at this point so he let up and so did i. I think i got him about full car length maybe two. The second run same thing except i kept on it and so did he, he started to reel me in then gradually started to catch me and get ahead some then we let off. It was a rush, and he told me he has never been beaten on the street except for when he raced me. I was feeling pretty good at this point. I thought **** i just took an 03 modded Cobra I would like to think its because he wasnt driving it right or something but i sounded like he hit his peaks on the shifts from what i could here. Got to hear first hand the sound of that supercharger on the second run as he was catching me and right on the drivers side of me. They sound pretty sweet spinning up like that. He had a damn fast car though but he seen the dark side personally this guy was pretty damn cool and are going to hook up for the Friday nights at the track along with some other buddies.

Cool man, good kill. Suunds like you did real well on relatively low boost, and street tires. 730 looks a little lean to me though.

I agree with striker...

..730's is lean. I would think that may have killed a little mph up top to. With 20-22 psi, I would think you should trap around 108, if not a little more. Try giving a little more fuel...

be careful of the Cobra....there was a street tire 03 Fri nite that ran 12.6@116 with the basic mods (pulley, air, exhaust)....they are quick...with traction, that car would be deep into the 11's

Cool thanks Black and Striker ill up the fuel about 2% through my Translator box. Im going to be putting on my new dump pipe as soon as i get it this week, so i will have to up the fuel anyway. Do you guys figure with some drag radials and some boost off the launch i should be in the mid 12 range when i know what im doing? or what.

And ill tell you what that Cobra was fast he was right on my Ass but i figured he would have took me anyway with 450rwhp and 450 torque is what he told me his Cobra was dynoed at. I have know clue what Hp im producing or Torque for that matter, but its got to be pretty high to take the 03 Snake

Your not Kidding azgn they are fast with those mods you just listed, basically that is what this guy had except the exaust from what he told me. I know if we would have kept on it for a while, he with no doubt would have pulled in front.

you wasnt the only 1 having a problem launching at the track: i was at the track saturday nite & whenever i got to building 2 lbs. of boost my car would creep & deep stage, sometimes they put down tooooooo much water.

thats an extremely low mph for the set up you are running- you must be running out of fuel -

Yea i think i saw a white one out there that pulled a 10.6 that was a great run man. It was kinda cool watching your front end come up and the rear just friggin layed down hard from what i could see from the back good deal

lotta water sprayed down, your right about that and yes i believe i was running out of fuel for the simple fact of high boost and fuel pressure set at 45# running 20# of boost which creeped up to almost 23# but amazingly i got 0 knock whats up with that?? i just upped the fuel pressure from the translator box another 2% and now is up to 4% total at WOT i will see were that puts my 02s.
