I 've been trying to chase down a knock problem with my new engine . I thought I had it but it's back . I'm getting about 7-12 count of knock in the 15 psi boost range .02's are in the 800 range. I'm also getting a big flat/dead spot in the turbo/engine as it's boosting , and then it'll catch it's self again . All readings look good . Car has new wires coil pack , EGR , TPS , etc . A funny thing happened as I went for a WOT blast . after the car was shut down I went to restart it and the idle went VERY high and took a while to come back down . I've been messing with this problem for the last month and at wits end . I'm getting to the point of just calling it quits and throwing the car cover over it for this year .
Flat spot on boost ??
