hey whats up everyone im on the market for a fmic and ive been reading some threads about them on here i was wondering if i could get some input from u guys on which of the 2 companies do u like or i should go with.. i was thinkin about pte fmic and the cotton performance fmic, whats the pros and cons of both of them? thanx for ur time

There are really no downsides to either product you mentioned, both are excellent quality and have good customer service. I researched this topic for several months before making a decision, but finally went with Cotton's FMIC. I am very happy with my decision and Jack is the best to deal with on buying parts or Tech advice. There are also alot of good stock location IC's on the market today. It really depends on what level of performance you are looking for from your TR. Good Luck.

I run Jack's FMIC too.. Great guy to deal with and stands behind what he sells.

cool thanx guys... i heard some people were running a little hotter water temp with the pte fmic im not sure if that is true or not but does the cotton fmic affect any kind of cooling with the radiator being somewhat blocked??

I run one of the Cotton's. Mine runs a few degrees warmer, but it's not an issue. Dunno about in NV thou, I've heard it gets pretty warm there at times.... :)
So under those conditions, IMO, you're just going to have to try it and see.

I have a PT&E with a aluminum radiator and the stock fan and my car never left 165 degrees in the Fl. heat. I also have a huge trans cooler in front of the radiator. I have heard alot of good stuff about cottons intercooler, That might be my choice if I was in your shoes. I have no problems with mine though.:D
