I am selling my 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII 8. Pearl with tan leather interior. 100K miles. Runs very good and in good overall condition. Typical 2 gen. Mark VIII issues. Coil spring conversion. 280HP 4.6 liter dual overhead cam V8 with 4sp auto. Same engine used in the Cobra Mustang.

What issues does the car have? is it reliable and driveable? Is this the same 4.6 thats in the crown vics. Was the tranny rebuilt is it smooth? I am in LI also and just lost my DD so I need something reliable i have a long commute. Where are you located. Thanks!

Hi,

The issues the car has is that the drivers side seat is stuck, but you could get tracks from a 98-99 T-bird. The outside passenger side door handle is broke but the works fine from the inside and any Crown Vic/Contentail door handle will work. The A/C work needs to be recharged but heat works great.

I reliable and drivable. Just passed inspection and is good until 12/2010. Brand new battery. All elctronics, lights(HID), horn, radio, windows....all work. The only reason I am selling is because my wife wants a used Lexus ES 350 and no more toys for me. And even just sold my 89 TTA is weekend to make room. Now the Mark VIII is the last to go.

I am not sure about the engine and trans to my knowledge had not been rebuilt and shifts all 4 gear fine.

I am located north shore, exit 32 off lie, between northern blvd and little neck parkway.
