For those running Aluminum radiators w/trans lines, did it make anything cooler?

I have an external trans cooler that I will be installing, but I just have a question for those who run an aluminum radiator with stock trans lines/aftermarket trans lines to the radiator WITHOUT a separate transcooler. If you were running a trans temp gauge, did the aluminum radiator make any difference in your trans temps and if so, how much. I know there may not be many who still use stock lines, but if there is someone out there, I'd like to hear your answer, especially if your car is mostly street driven.
