Not quite sure under which heading this should go but Barry was a friend to many "Back in the day". I think he was first to stand his 87 Turbo Buick on the rear bumper. A real thrill for Barry and it's driver Alan Witter. Barry loved the Turbo cars as much as anyone. How else could you explain air freighting your engine back and forth across the country to prepare for a test and tune. Thanks for the memories "Bud".

I met Barry at Gateway in St. Louis in 1993. Great guy! RIP.

I'm reminded by Alan Witter of the time Barry loaned Alan his car to race in St. Louis. Alan was a dead serious racer at the time (And still is in his feeble mind) and Barry knew how important that race was so he loaned Alan his car. And St. Louis isn't just around the corner. We all live in Va.. I'm betting that's when you met Barry.

I happened to video tape that on the bumper launch at BG and gave him the tape. I got a personal thank you in the mail a few weeks later. Great guy.

Sorry to hear
Mike
