Ford Diesel?

I am thinking about buying a ford diesel van, anyone have one?
Likes and dislikes?
I understand the diesel does not have the same power rating as in the pickup truck.........correct?

What year? 94-97 trucks have slightly more power but you can get all that back and more with a mild chip. I'm not sure about the later ones but I know they were never intercooled like the 99-03 trucks. They still have plenty of power though. You don't see too many around but if I were buying a van it would have a diesel. My father in law bought a V10 van and regrets not spending the extra cash on a diesel. His mileage sucks compared to my F-350.

From what i understand the diesel van motors have less compression then the pick up motors.
I am currently looking at a 2003, which i assume has the 7.3 vrs the 6.0.
