OK guys...found this low milage GN that has been sittiing for probably 5 years. Needs a new battery to get started but what other things should I look for that are common for GNs that have sat around for a while. I just don`t want to buy this car a find out it has a bad turbo or bad motor. I`ll be ok with vacume lines, sensors, etc..etc.. Just some things I should look for...

If it's been sitting 5 years, I wouldn't start it without changing the oil and priming the pump.

Drop the gas tank and clean out the varnish that use to be gasoline. May have to replace the pump and level sender.
Definitely change the fuel filter.
Change oil & filter
Remove spark plugs and spray some oil in each cylinder. Wait a day, then either remove the cam sensor and use drill to prime the oil pump or leave plugs OUT and spin (by starter) engine to prime oil pump.

I`m finding out that this car may have been sitting a little longer that I`m being led to believe. I know for fact that the milage is original..12,000. This may be one to grab and hold onto but I won`t be interested if its junk on the otherhand.

If you don't prime it you will have junk on your hands :)

in regards to turning the car over with it it firing, you can also unplug the orange wire behind the battery (ECM power) as opposed to pulling or leaving out the spark plugs
