Gauge & rail mount fitting. Recommendations for good gauge and best (safest) fitting. Or maybe just hook up a gauge on a hose, check it, then disconnect the gauge & put the cap back on like stock. It's on a cruiser, so no adjustments at a track will be needed. Advice? Thanks

If I did anything I'd have it on a hose(and I do) so I can duct tape it to the windshield and be able to make pulls and see the fp and the boost gauge to make sure it is rising together. You kinda need a 3-4" gauge or at least I do so I can see it.

Those mount it to the rail deals are pretty worthless IMO and a fire hazard on top of that.

Just know a guy must pull the core out of the rail to let the pressure by. There are kits and brackets to mount the gauge at the end of the hood. Those work but kinda kill the sleeper vibe I like to roll with.

Powerlogger it and get a record.
No gauges hanging to the end of the rail...

I don’t think there is any problem with fuel rail gauge. I use the Marshall 0-100 gauges you can get them on Amazon. And a -4AN 90 to 1/8 NPT fitting pretty easy install and it takes up little to no room under the hood. There are a lot of cheap gauges out there so beware. Having a gauge on the fuel rail helps basically with two things. You can verify that you’re getting FP to the rail and you can set your FPR when you need to.

The problem I had with the rail gauge was, I had trouble seeing it at 40# boost and 100mph.....
