ARE THE FREE-AIR SUBS ANY GOOD?(IN A '86)
SHOULD THEY FACE FORWARD OR REARWARD?
I WAS THINKING OF THE PIONEER SUBS,I DONT KNOW
OF ANY OTHER FREE-AIR SUBS.

Free air applications arent the best in my opinion. I have built a few and sounded great at the lower to mid volumes but bottomed terribly at higher volumes. (no woofer control)

You will achieve the best sounding bottom end using an enclosure, just my .03 cents :)

FYI.......Enclosures sound different in different automotive acoustical environments so what cabinet sounds good in one vehicle may or may not sound good in another.
