You guys want to look into installing a 2004 Comp G Alternator on your 3800 series II s/c motor next time your stock alternator fail. GM has change the alternator pulley and install a load bearing. Now the internal of the alternator is driven by momentum from the pulley bearing. the allow the engine to rev quicker with less drive load on the crank. i am pretty sure with any 99+ s/c motor ,this alternator will be a easy bolt on.
