A friend's father took delivery of what was probably the first new Shelby GT500 in New Jersey very early this year. A deal was worked out with SLP via Downs Ford and Craig Radovich of Radical Racing as SLP needed a car to make a performance package for other Shelby owners. The final result was 601.6hp and 604.4 ft lbs of torque with 11 lbs of boost. It included stainless headers, x-pipe, exhaust, cold air intake, blower pulley, and Predator. Here is the SLP video.

Sweet! I like everything about those except the wheels. 600 HP would help me see past that flaw, though.

love the car to but the wheels AND the exhaust have to go ... IF I get one I will throw an auto in it to

Yeah the wheels are the stock wheels the Shelbys come with and the exhaust is OBNOXIOUSLY loud. Even the SLP Loud Mouth for the 2 valve 4.6's is obnoxious.

have a LOT of Camaro's up here with that exhaust  guess they are trying to be louder than the Mustang guys ...

I kind of like the sound of the exhaust, it has that old school cackle sound. I would not want to drive it everyday or on a long ride but I would like it for short show off rides. but the question remains, can they put those 600 horses
where it counts... to the ground! or is it just another dyno queen?

The guys that are modifying their Shelby's are getting the job done with the bare minimum and they arent just dyno queens. Ford did their home work and gave all the new Mustangs a true 3 link rear suspension. Only down side to the new ones is that a Shelby GT500 coupe weighs in at 3900-4000 lbs and the convertible is approx 200lbs more! Here is a local place from South Eastern Pennsylvania that has the first one in the 9's Evolution Performance
There are some videos of it on their site.
