I just installed 87 ecm tt chip 87 maf tps is at 42 fuel is at 43 psi line off plug gap at 35
it starts and idle just fine eng light is on but no code try to drive and it boggs and pops
I have also replaced crank sensor and tps ,fuel punp is hot wired

it was running and drive able with 87 ecm and stock chip before I swapped the 87 maf
now it just boggs pops . do it matter that the air filter is on the maf should there be some
room between the maf and the air filter??

You just provided the first step in your own diagnosis. Go back to the step when it was running good. First swap back to your old maf.

yeah unfortunately I traded it at autozone I went back to try and buy back my core but they shipped it

I never trust those store rebuilt units, sometimes it takes several tries to get one calibrated right. If I do use one I supply them with a junk yard part as a core. Usually they don't care as long as it looks close to the same part.

is the connector on the maf for the pigtail 90* facing down or is it parallel to the maf? If it's parallel then that's a refurb'd maf from a firebird and you'll probably have the problems again and chances are it's still not calibrated exactly like a correct 87 delco maf would be.
